Privacy Policy — C'è Sciopero
Last updated: May 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use the C'è Sciopero mobile application.
1. Data Controller
Contact: privacy@cesciopero.it
2. Data We Collect
C'è Sciopero collects only the data strictly necessary to provide the service:
- Push notification token — an anonymous identifier generated by your device's operating system, required to send push notifications.
- Regional preferences — the Italian regions you select to personalise strike alerts.
- Anonymous technical data — operating system, app version, and anonymous device identifiers, used to ensure the app works correctly and to diagnose errors.
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other directly identifying information.
3. Purpose of Processing
Data is used exclusively to:
- Send push notifications about public transport strikes in your selected regions;
- Improve app features and performance;
- Diagnose and fix technical issues.
4. Legal Basis
Processing is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given when you authorise push notifications, and on the legitimate interest of the controller in the correct functioning of the service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
5. Third-Party Services
To deliver the service we use:
- Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) — Apple Inc., for push notifications on iOS;
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) — Google LLC, for push notifications on Android;
- Firebase Crashlytics — Google LLC, for technical monitoring and error resolution.
These providers process data solely for the stated purposes and in accordance with their own privacy policies.
6. Data Retention
Data is retained only for as long as is necessary to provide the service. Your notification token and regional preferences are deleted when you uninstall the app or upon your explicit request.
7. International Data Transfers
Some providers (Google LLC, Apple Inc.) may process data outside the European Union. Any such transfer is carried out in compliance with GDPR safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
8. Your Rights
Under Arts. 15–22 GDPR you have the right to:
- Access your personal data;
- Request rectification or erasure;
- Object to processing or request restriction;
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing;
- Lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).
To exercise your rights, contact us at: privacy@cesciopero.it
9. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect data against unauthorised access, loss, or unlawful disclosure.
